The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 doubled your Section 179 deduction limit to $250,000 and has been extended for 2009. If you've been considering purchasing DentalEZ equipment now is the time to asct. Savings under this new Economic Stiumus Act ends December 31, 2009.
Some Important Facts:
* Section 179 allows you to expense as much as $250,000 of your qualified equipment purchases (see Example 1 below)
* If you wait to purchase in 2010, your Section 179 deduction limit may drop to only $128,000.
* This Act also includes a one-time bonus depreciation that allows you to write off 50% on equipment purchases of $250,000 or more.
* Equipment must be in service by December 31, 2009. This bonus depreciation will likely not be available in 2010. (See Example 2 below)
